Shows at the Acorn

We've worked with the fantastic Airfish Circus Collective at the Acorn Theatre Penzance for over eight years. Most recently through the very popular annual cabaret night, the 'traditional' Seductive, Swinging Soiree!

"Jon Udry's Having A Ball" a spectacular one man show!

"Jon Udry is a juggler and stand-up comedian whose charming, frank and funny performances leave audiences on the edge of their seats and rolling in the aisles from laughter"

This winning combination has won him the award for ‘British Young Juggler of the Year’ , ‘New Act of The Year Finalist’ and has led to appearances on radio and television, as well as appearing all over the world to international acclaim.

“Don’t let the cheeky chappy persona deceive you, Jon Udry is pure skill. We’re talking laugh-out-loud funny, we’re talking did-he-really-do-that tricks, we’re talking dropped-jaws-and-clutched-pearl surprises.”
100 Watt Club

“Jon Udry lights up a room with his charming personality. As an audience member you feel totally at ease and in the exact right place at that exact right moment. He’s a damn fine juggler too with different takes on an an ancient art!”
Christmas at the Spielgel Tent

“He’s the juggler that other jugglers state as the gold standard, and he’s funny enough that comics don’t mind the ‘and comedian’ on his posters.”

A 3 day course from 'Rigging Southwest's' Steve Jones (I.R.A.T.A.3 Rope Access, and Lloyds of London LOLER inspector, and Jade Dunbar 'Gaffer' of Glastonbury Circus Big Top for nearly 20 years. Covering everything YOU NEED to know and more, as an aerialist, to manage, protect, and be responsible for your own safety, and good working practice, and the safety of those around you in training and performance, and those you may also teach.

Here at Cirk Hes we take the responsibility of ensuring folk can work safely and well under our umbrella very seriously. It's not all fun and games at the Circus in relation to working and training at height. We also understand the importance of passing on the knowledge and best working practice to locally based and touring freelance aerialists, aerial coaches and theatrical production crew. As well of course as to our home grown upcoming young talent in these areas. This course will leave you confident in your working practice, able to identify, highlight and confidently explain any risks to yourselves and others that you might come across during the course of your professional practice at venues/events. It will leave you confident and capable in terms of rigging your own gear, and knowing that gear's limitations. You will also learn and practice rope access skills invaluable to setting up, using and taking down the rigging you need in a wide variety of contexts.

PLEASE NOTE

1. This is a 3 day course, to get on the reserve list and find out when the next course will run, please get in contact.
